Our staff is here to be a helping hand not only to just our patients, but to the families and caregivers of those we serve. We respect and understand everyone's uniqueness, lifestyles, values, and wishes.
Our care team is hand selected in providing expertly trained end-of- life care collaborating together utilizing an interdisciplinary group approach of physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, homemakers, hospice aides, volunteers, spiritual counselors, and others. Serenity Hospice is here to provide palliative care in the home, short-term inpatient services, mobilization and coordination of ancillary services, and bereavement support.
A Hospice Nurse is a professional in charge of providing care, comfort, and support to clients navigating the difficult time at the end of their lives. They develop plans for individual patients to ensure their needs are met, perform regular checkups, and communicate with family members as needed.
Hospice aides ordinarily work in the home of patients getting hospice care. They are in charge of providing long-term assistance with things like bathing, dressing, grooming, and other services related to personal care.
A hospice social worker's job is to help people deal with the emotional aspects of late-stage illnesses and to advocate for each patient's wishes regarding their end of life. Families are also assisted by hospice social workers in locating additional nearby support services and resources.
Chaplains give counseling services to their patients and families of patient. These might include grief counseling and working through how people think about dying in a hospice setting. For many people and their families, the end of life can be difficult, especially if people have different views on death and dying.
Hospice Medication management involves precise medication administration and monitoring for patients with terminal illnesses. Similar to hospice care, the focus shifts from cure to comfort, addressing physical and emotional needs for an enhanced quality of life.
Volunteers perform many important duties. Whether providing companionship in a patient’s home, assisting with a special event, or handling other meaningful tasks — volunteers play a vital role that enables the hospice to meet the needs of the community more fully.
